Security Bag Sealing Tape for PE, HDPE & LDPE Bag Manufacturers

Hanksec manufactures tamper evident security bag tape for PE, HDPE and LDPE security bag production. It is supplied as a functional sealing component for security bag manufacturers, flexible-packaging converters and OEM projects—not as an ordinary finished-bag seal.

Available constructions include Level 1–6 project configurations with VOID / OPENED evidence, temperature-related response, water or solvent-sensitive functions, UV / covert verification, security cuts, serial numbers, barcodes, QR codes and custom jumbo-roll formats. Final functions are confirmed against the selected construction, bag film and production process.

Bag tape is an integrated sealing component for flexible security bags. For carton, parcel or rigid-package sealing, use the separate Security Packing Tapes category.
Step 1 — Select the Security Level

Choose the Right Security Bag Tape Configuration

Start with the tampering methods the finished bag must reveal. Hanksec uses Level 1–6 as product-configuration descriptors for project selection rather than as a universal industry grading standard. Exact functions should be confirmed against the selected construction and approved sample.

BASIC

Level 1

Visible VOID / OPENED evidence for basic tamper indication on compatible bag-film constructions.

ENHANCED

Levels 2–3

Enhanced configurations build beyond basic VOID evidence with selected additional response functions according to the approved project specification.

HIGH SECURITY

Levels 4–5

Multi-function configurations can combine VOID evidence with temperature-related, water / solvent-sensitive, UV or covert, security-cut and identification features, depending on the selected construction.

PROJECT SPECIFIC

Level 6 / Custom

Project-specific configurations can combine several tamper-response, authentication, traceability and converting requirements in one approved construction.

Buying Question Basic Security Multi-Function Security Project-Specific High Security
Visible opening evidence VOID / OPENED response VOID plus additional indicators Multiple combined indicators
Attack-method detection Peel / opening attempt Peel plus selected temperature or water / solvent response Combined tamper response with optional authentication / traceability
Typical application Courier / document bags Cash / deposit / evidence bags High-security controlled programs
What to confirm Bag film + VOID effect Required functions + production process Complete bag structure + qualification plan
Step 2 — Select the Tamper Functions

Match Security Bag Tape to the Tampering Method

Select tamper-response features according to the manipulation methods that should leave detectable evidence. Authentication and traceability features should be specified separately because they support inspection and identification but do not by themselves prove that the closure was opened.

VOID / OPENED Evidence Creates irreversible visual evidence when the bag-sealing area is peeled or opened.
Heat Response Thermo-responsive features can help reveal attempts to weaken or manipulate the sealing area with heat.
Water / Solvent Response Specified water- or solvent-sensitive elements can provide additional visible evidence when the closure is exposed to relevant liquid or chemical manipulation.
UV / Covert Verification UV-visible or covert marks can support authentication and controlled inspection, but they do not by themselves prove that the closure was opened.
Die-Cut Security Die-cut patterns can create irregular tearing or structural disruption when removal is attempted.
Serial / Barcode Traceability Variable data can support identification, reconciliation and chain-of-custody workflows, but traceability should be distinguished from tamper evidence.
Step 3 — Match Bag Film & Production

Security Bag Tape Must Match the Bag Manufacturing Process

Bag-film type, sealing construction, converting temperature, liner, adhesive and machine handling all affect production stability. Final qualification should use the actual bag material and production process.

BAG FILM

PE / HDPE / LDPE

Confirm film structure, surface treatment and bonding conditions before approving the tape construction.

ADHESIVE

Bonding & Activation

Adhesive performance must support both production handling and the required tamper response after bag assembly.

LINER

Release & Process Stability

Liner construction should support converting, lamination, rewinding and dispensing without unstable release.

MACHINE FIT

Width, Winding & Jumbo Roll

Roll width, core, winding direction and jumbo-roll format should match the actual bag-making line.

For detailed bag-film and converting guidance, use the Security Bag Tape for Bag Manufacturers technical guide instead of overloading this category page with production theory.
Step 4 — Define the Commercial Specification

Security Bag Tape Specifications & Custom Options

For quotation and sample preparation, define the security function and the production specification together.

Security LevelBasic to multi-function project-specific constructions.
Hidden MessageVOID, OPENED or customized security text.
Functional OptionsTemperature-related tamper indication, water / solvent-sensitive response, UV / covert authentication, security cuts and project-specific features.
Bag FilmPE, HDPE, LDPE or project-specific flexible packaging film.
Variable DataSerial numbers, barcode or QR code where required.
DimensionsTape width and roll length matched to the bag design and machine.
Core / WindingSpecified according to the converting and dispensing process.
Supply FormatFinished rolls, slit rolls or jumbo-roll supply for manufacturers.
Step 5 — Sample & Production Qualification

OEM Security Bag Tape Manufacturing Support

Jumbo Roll & Converting Supply

For bag manufacturers and converters, define roll width, roll length, core, winding, liner, printing, security functions and the intended bag-making process before production.

Sample Qualification

Test the approved construction on the actual bag film. Confirm bonding, release, machine handling, VOID activation and all additional security functions before bulk production.

Before requesting samples: send the bag-film structure, target Hanksec security configuration, required tamper-response and authentication / traceability features, tape dimensions, roll format, machine / process information and estimated quantity. This gives the technical team enough information to recommend a suitable construction.
