Semi Residue VOID Material is a partial transfer tamper evident label material designed to leave part of the hidden security message on the applied surface and part of the evidence on the label face after removal. This semi-residue effect provides visible opening evidence while keeping the package surface cleaner than full transfer VOID materials.
This material is suitable for cartons, retail boxes, logistics labels, warranty seals, plastic packaging, glass bottles, metal surfaces, coated paperboard, document labels, and OEM/ODM brand protection projects. It is commonly selected when customers need a balanced security effect between strong tamper evidence and cleaner surface appearance.
Semi Residue VOID Material uses a multi-layer tamper evident structure, including face material, hidden VOID message layer, partial transfer layer, adhesive system, color layer, and release liner. Before removal, the hidden message is not clearly visible on the label surface. When peeling is attempted, the security layer separates and creates a partial transfer effect.
After removal, part of the VOID message remains on the applied surface, while the removed label also shows visible evidence. This makes it difficult to restore, reuse, or reapply the label without leaving clear signs of tampering.
Semi Residue VOID Material is useful when customers need visible tamper evidence but do not want heavy adhesive residue like full transfer VOID labels. It provides a cleaner balance for packaging, logistics, retail, electronics, cosmetics, and general security labeling applications.
Compared with non-transfer labels, semi residue VOID material provides stronger surface evidence. Compared with full transfer labels, it leaves a lighter and more controlled residue effect. This makes it a practical choice for customers who need both inspection visibility and better surface appearance.
Semi Residue VOID Material is commonly used for e-commerce packaging, retail boxes, logistics labels, shipping cartons, warranty seals, electronics packaging, cosmetic box seals, document protection, asset labels, and anti-counterfeit packaging labels.
For general packaging security, this material helps inspectors quickly confirm whether a label has been removed or tampered with. For brand protection projects, it can be customized with private hidden messages, company logos, serial numbers, QR codes, barcodes, and different surface colors.
Full transfer VOID material leaves stronger and more complete residue evidence on the applied surface after removal. It is suitable when permanent and highly visible surface evidence is required.
Semi Residue VOID Material provides a more balanced result. It leaves partial evidence on the package surface while keeping part of the message on the label face. This makes it more suitable when customers need visible tamper evidence but prefer a cleaner surface after opening.
Non-transfer VOID material keeps the applied surface cleaner because the hidden message appears mainly on the label face after removal. It is suitable for reusable containers, electronics, premium surfaces, and sensitive packaging.
Semi Residue VOID Material provides stronger applied-surface evidence than non-transfer labels. It is recommended when customers want visible confirmation on both the label and the package surface.
Hanksec can customize Semi Residue VOID Material according to face material, surface color, hidden message, transfer level, residue effect, adhesive strength, release liner, roll width, printing method, label size, and final application surface.
Common customization options include VOID, OPENED, ABIERTO, custom logo, brand pattern, warning text, serial number, barcode, QR code, private hidden message, silver surface, white surface, transparent surface, sheet format, roll format, and finished die-cut label production.
Semi Residue VOID Material should be tested with the customer’s actual printing, slitting, die-cutting, matrix removal, labeling, and packaging process before bulk production. Important converting factors include surface printability, ink adhesion, liner release force, die-cutting pressure, roll tension, barcode readability, QR code scanning, and label dispensing stability.
For label converters and packaging suppliers, stable transfer performance is important. Hanksec can provide sample testing support to help customers confirm print quality, adhesive bonding, partial transfer clarity, and final application performance before mass production.
Before bulk orders, customers should test Semi Residue VOID Material on the real application surface. Coated cartons, kraft paper boxes, plastic packaging, glass, metal, painted surfaces, laminated paperboard, cosmetic boxes, electronics packaging, and textured surfaces may show different bonding and partial transfer performance.
Important testing points include peel adhesion, VOID message clarity, partial transfer effect, residue visibility, adhesive bonding, print durability, liner release force, die-cutting stability, edge lifting resistance, and final appearance after removal.
Tamper evident VOID label materials are commonly available in full transfer, partial transfer, and non transfer types. Each type provides a different tamper evidence effect and is suitable for different packaging, labeling, and security applications. The comparison below helps buyers select the right material according to surface condition, residue requirement, and security level.
| Material Type | Tamper Evidence Effect | Residue on Applied Surface | Key Features | Recommended Applications |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Full Transfer VOID Label Material | The adhesive fully transfers to the applied surfaces after removal | Yes | Highly visible tamper evidence, irreversible security effect, strong anti-opening performance | Warranty labels, electronics seals, export cartons, high-value packaging, security labels |
| Partial Transfer VOID Label Material | Part of the residue transfers to the applied surface after removal | Partial | Tamper evidence, cleaner finish, easier inspection, suitable for general packaging security | E-commerce packaging, retail boxes, logistics labels, shipping cartons, general anti-tamper sealing |
| Non Transfer VOID Label Material | The VOID / OPEN VOID message appears on the label film after removal | No | No-residue tamper evidence, clean surface after removal, suitable for premium and sensitive surfaces | Reusable containers, electronics, medical devices, clean packaging, IT asset labels, luxury product packaging |
